PARENTS TERMS OF USE

  1. Introduction
    These Parent Terms of Use apply to parents or guardians (“Customers”) who use the Faye’s Sitters platform to request babysitting services.
    By using the platform, submitting a booking request, or paying a booking fee, you agree to these Parent Terms of Use.
    These terms apply alongside the Booking Terms for Babysitting Services, which govern each individual babysitting booking.

  2. About Us
    Faye’s Sitters Limited is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16715542.
    We operate an online platform that introduces independent babysitters to parents and facilitates bookings.

  3. Our Role
    3.1 Faye’s Sitters Limited acts only as an introduction agent and booking facilitator.
    3.2 We do not provide childcare services and are not a party to the contract for childcare, which is formed directly between the babysitter and the parent when a booking is accepted.
    3.3 Babysitters are independent service providers and are not employees, workers, or agents of Faye’s Sitters Limited.

  4. Eligibility and Use of the Platform
    4.1 You must be at least 18 years old to use the platform.
    4.2 You must be a parent or legal guardian, or have authority to arrange childcare for the relevant child or children.
    4.3 You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.

  5. Information You Provide
    5.1 You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up to date information when submitting a booking request.
    5.2 This includes details about:
    The child or children requiring care

Any relevant medical or care needs

The booking location

Emergency contact information

5.3 You acknowledge that inaccurate or incomplete information may affect the suitability of a booking.
6. Bookings and Booking Terms
6.1 Each babysitting booking is governed by the Booking Terms for Babysitting Services.
6.2 You will be required to accept the Booking Terms at the time of making a booking.
6.3 If there is any conflict between these Parent Terms of Use and the Booking Terms, the Booking Terms will apply in relation to the babysitting services.
7. Booking Fee and Payments
7.1 A platform booking fee is charged at the time a booking is made. The amount and cancellation policy are disclosed before payment.
7.2 The babysitter’s fee is charged only after the babysitting services have been completed.
7.3 If a booking does not take place, no babysitter fee will be charged.
8. Cancellations
8.1 Cancellation of bookings is subject to the cancellation terms set out in the Booking Terms.
8.2 Refunds, where applicable, apply only to the booking fee and not to babysitter fees.
9. Platform Availability
9.1 We aim to make the platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
9.2 We may suspend or restrict access to the platform for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.
10. Our Rights
10.1 We reserve the right to:
Refuse or cancel booking requests

Decline to facilitate a booking

Suspend use of the platform

where we reasonably believe there is a safeguarding concern, misuse of the platform, or breach of these terms.
11. Safeguarding and Conduct
11.1 You agree to behave respectfully and appropriately when interacting with babysitters and with Faye’s Sitters Limited.
11.2 Any safeguarding concerns or incidents must be reported promptly. DO WE WANT TO MAKE REFERENCE TO THE SAFEGAURDING POLICY
12. Liability
12.1 Faye’s Sitters Limited is not responsible for the performance of childcare services provided by babysitters.
12.2 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
13. Privacy and Data Protection
13.1 Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy and Data Protection Policy and Data Processing and Sub-Processor Policy.
13.2 By using the platform, you acknowledge and agree to this processing.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Parent Terms of Use from time to time. The most current version will be made available on the platform.
15. Governing Law
These Parent Terms of Use are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
