We’re all trying to get our social life back to something vaguely similar to what it was before kids so the demand for those few sitters in a social circle gets crazy. We wanted to make it easier. Faye’s Sitters offers the same trust and familiarity as a personal recommendation, but with the organisation and reliability of a managed service. Every babysitter who joins us is part of our own local community, DBS checked through Ucheck, and personally verified by our team, who are all parents ourselves.

How do I book a babysitter?

Just get in touch with us to share your date, time, and how long you’ll need childcare for. We’ll then match you with a local babysitter from our approved network and confirm your booking. You’ll receive your babysitter’s details a few days before the sit.

Who are your babysitters?

Our babysitters are local, responsible young people, mostly students and early-career adults from the Marlow area, who genuinely enjoy working with children. Every sitter is vetted, DBS-checked through Ucheck, ID-verified, and supported by our team.

How do you check your babysitters?

All babysitters go through a detailed vetting process, including: • A DBS check (carried out via Ucheck) • ID and reference verification • A short interview. Only once they’ve passed these checks and completed our verification process can they accept bookings through Faye’s Sitters.

Are babysitters insured?

Yes. Every booking made through Faye’s Sitters is covered under our insurance policy. Babysitters are also supported by us for every sit they complete.

How are babysitters paid?

Babysitters are paid directly by parents via bank transfer. Parents pay Faye’s Sitters booking fee at the time the sit is confirmed. Once the sit has taken place, parents receive the sitter’s bank details and send payment directly to them. No cash, no hassle.

How much does it cost?

Babysitter hourly rates are set by Faye’s Sitters based on age, experience, and qualifications. There’s also a small booking fee of £7 per booking charged to the customer, which helps cover the platform, insurance, and administration costs. This fee remains the same, regardless of how long your sit is. The Babysitter pay is never reduced by this fee.

What if my sitter cancels?

In the rare event a sitter can’t make it, we’ll immediately arrange an alternative babysitter from our local network, one of the major benefits of using Faye’s Sitters. You’ll always be kept updated and we will do everything we can to never leave you without childcare.

Do I meet the babysitter before the booking?

Parents receive the sitter’s details in advance from Faye’s Sitters, including a short introduction. They are then contacted directly by the sitter in the week leading up to the sit. At this point you may choose to have a quick chat or introduction call. Our goal is for everyone to feel completely comfortable and confident before the sit.

How do I become a babysitter with Faye’s Sitters?
